Cabaret

I’ve been writing, performing and touring my original cabaret work for 5 years. My schtick is feminist cabaret, using comedy and original songwriting to make nuanced topics of social justice accessible to the general public.

My most recent show, Millicent Sarre is Opinionated, features original songs that tackle gender pay disparity, women’s pleasure, internalised misogyny, and body image and diet culture. Opinionated won ‘Best Cabaret’ of Adelaide Fringe 2023. I’ll be touring the show to Perth for FRINGE WORLD Festival in January 2024.

My debut show, Friendly Feminism, premiered in Adelaide in the Cabaret Fringe Festival 2019, and delved into topics of consent culture, toxic masculinity and rape culture. It went on to play a sold-out and extended season in the Adelaide Fringe 2020, and was a 3-time award-winner that season. In 2021, I collaborated with Josh Belperio to create Awkward Activists, an original show about the intersection of the queer and feminist activist movements.

I’m currently collaborating with my dear friends and long-time collaborators Jemma Allen and Rosie Russell to create Bisexual Intellectuals, a new work of comedy-cabaret-chaos that will debut at Gluttony in Adelaide Fringe 2024.
